Cookie Policy

This page explains what is stored on your device when you visit vehicleimagery.com. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar techniques such as local storage and session storage keep data in your browser without sending it back with every request. Both are covered by this page.

2. What this website uses

We store data on your device only where it is needed or where you have allowed it. If you visit from the European Union, a consent banner asks on your first visit which optional services we may use. Visitors from other countries are covered further down in this section. You can change your choice at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

• Your consent choice (necessary): the cookie zaraz-consent stores which purposes you allowed, so the banner does not appear on every page. It is set by Cloudflare Zaraz, kept for one year and needs no consent (§ 25(2) TDDDG). Cloudflare Zaraz also sets the cookie cf_zaraz_client for one year; it stays empty and contains no identifier.
• Statistics (in the European Union only with your consent): our own analytics sets the cookies vi_v (a random visitor ID, one year) and vi_s (a random visit ID that expires after 30 minutes without activity). Google Analytics 4 runs through Cloudflare Zaraz, which for this purpose sets the cookies cfz_google-analytics_v4 (one year), cfzs_google-analytics_v4 (until you close your browser) and cfz_zaraz-analytics (one year) on our domain.
• Marketing (in the European Union only with your consent): the Google Ads tag sets cookies such as _gcl_au for up to 90 days and the local storage entry _gcl_ls, to measure whether a visit from one of our ads leads to an enquiry, a trial signup or a booked call, and so that Google can show our ads again to people who visited our website. Google can also set a short-lived test cookie on its domain doubleclick.net.
• Customer portal (necessary): if you sign in at portal.vehicleimagery.com, the cookie vi_portal keeps you signed in for 14 days, or 90 days if you choose to stay signed in, and the local storage entry vi_side remembers the width of the side panel. Both exist only on the portal and need no consent (§ 25(2) TDDDG).

In the European Union, without your consent, no statistics or marketing storage takes place and the Google tag is not loaded. If you withdraw your consent, we stop these services and remove their cookies from our domain.

Regardless of your choice, we count page views on our server and the number of clicks per page, without cookies and without storing anything on your device.

Visitors from other countries: we do not show a banner. Statistics are active from your first visit and the cookies listed above are set. The same applies to marketing, except in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where the Google Ads tag stays off unless you switch it on. The local storage entry vi_auto records that this setting was made automatically, so that it does not count as consent if the same browser later visits from the European Union. You can change all of this at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

3. Third-party services that may store data

The booking widget from Cal.com is loaded only when you open it. It can then set its own cookies so it can keep your booking session.

If you never open the booking widget and statistics and marketing are off, no third-party cookies are set on this website.

4. Technically necessary storage

Storage that is strictly necessary to run a function you have asked for, such as remembering your consent choice, is covered by § 25(2) TDDDG and does not require consent.

5. How to control cookies

You can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings, either in general or per website. Blocking all cookies may stop the booking widget from working, and the consent banner will then appear again on every visit.

6. Changes

If we introduce new services that store data on your device, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent beforehand.
